about me

I am a professional photographer specializing in portrait, street, and reportage photography. My passion is to convey emotions and stories through the lens of my camera. On this site, you will find examples of my work, information about upcoming projects, and a way to get in touch with me to book a photo shoot or discuss other projects.

My name is Vladimir Okhotnikov, and I am a professional photographer from Russia. I have been passionate about photography since an early age, and over the years, I have turned this passion into a career. My shooting style focuses on authenticity, emotions, and natural moments. I believe that every person is unique, and my goal is to capture that uniqueness in every photograph.

I began my photography journey with a film camera, experimenting with different genres. Over time, I found that my true passion was in portrait and street photography. I enjoy working with people, finding unexpected angles, and capturing moments that reflect the true essence of a person.

"Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything."

— Aaron Siskind.
My creative endeavors are fueled by a deep passion for exploring the world around me and capturing its essence through the lens of my camera. Nature, with its ever-changing landscapes and intricate details, serves as an endless wellspring of inspiration for me. Whether it's the majestic mountains, serene lakes, or lush forests, each scene offers a unique opportunity to create something truly remarkable.

Beyond the natural world, I draw inspiration from the vibrant tapestry of urban life. The bustling streets, towering skyscrapers, and eclectic architecture provide a rich canvas for artistic expression. I find beauty in the juxtaposition of light and shadow, the rhythm of everyday life, and the stories etched into the faces of passersby.

In addition to my surroundings, I am deeply influenced by the work of other photographers who have paved the way for creative expression in the field. Icons such as Ansel Adams, with his masterful landscapes, Steve McCurry, with his captivating portraits, and Sally Mann, with her poignant explorations of family and identity, have left an indelible mark on my own approach to photography.

Their ability to capture the raw essence of their subjects, to evoke emotion with every frame, is something I strive to emulate in my own work. Through their lens, I have learned the importance of patience, perseverance, and above all, a deep reverence for the art of photography.

Each click of the shutter is an opportunity to create something meaningful, to capture a fleeting moment in time and preserve it for generations to come. It is a privilege and an honor to share my vision with the world, and I am constantly humbled by the beauty and complexity of the world around me.
